One of the things United States First Lady Melania Trump is talked about is her work as a supermodel. However, that may not be true, according to her former roommate in New York City.
Politicalflare reports that the First Lady’s former roommate in New York City, photographer Matthew Atanian, came forward to share some details about living with the then-future Mrs. Trump back in the day. Interviewed by Vanity Fair, Atanian revealed that while Melania diligently pursued her career as a model back in the day, it was not up to the degree of the supermodels of the 1990s, where Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Linda Evangelista, and Cindy Crawford were referred to by the media and the fashion industry as such. Atanian then went on to reveal that the future-First Lady would wear ankle weights around the house and stuck to a strict diet of five to seven fruits and vegetables a day.
He also recalled that Melania’s modeling career was struggling when she met Donald Trump back in 1998.
The First Lady studied design at the University of Ljubljana in her home country of Slovenia before dropping out to pursue a modeling career. A model scout spotted her in the streets of Milan, Italy, who also happened to be a friend of her future husband. She then moved to America in New York City where she shared a home with the photographer.
Meanwhile, Express reports that the First Lady snubbed her predecessor Michelle Obama back in 2017 on social media. Once Donald was sworn into office, Melania would be tweeting from the official FLOTUS Twitter account. Although Melania acknowledged Michelle in her first tweet as First Lady, Twitter users found that the FLOTUS account did not follow Michelle’s Twitter account. Among the people in the FLOTUS following list on Twitter were former President Barack Obama, Donald, vice-president Mike Pence, Second Lady Karen Pence, the White House, and the White House History.
Michelle on the other hand, does follow the FLOTUS account, despite stark differences with the current First Lady. But she has also snubbed the current president on social media as well, by not following Donald’s Twitter account and instead following former vice president and the current democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
